Thanks for visiting. I'm a dad, contract photographer and multimedia producer in Louisville, Ky.
My work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Yahoo! Sports.
From 2006-11, I was a reporter at The Courier-Journal in Louisville where I wrote about bats and balls and shot pictures and video.
I grew up in Kentucky on baseball cards, Seinfeld and Super Mario Brothers. I'm a 2005 graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Journalism. During college I interned as a reporter at The Cincinnati Post, The Paducah Sun and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
I was a member of the Washington Center for Politics and Journalism Semester in 2006 in Washington, D.C. When I was living in the capital, I had the unique pleasure of meeting all three major players in the 2008 presidential campaign -- Barack Obama, John McCain and Hillary Clinton -- before they declared their candidacy. That’s a great internship, by the way, and if you are studying journalism check it out.
I have staffed UK’s Picture Kentucky workshops and served on the faculty of Western Kentucky University’s Mountain Workshops.
I'm also a member of the 2011 faculty of the Maine Media Workshops series where I will teach distribution strategies for multimedia.
