Thanks for visiting.

I am a dad, film editor & photographer with more than 10 years in journalism.
I'm currently a video producer at CBS Interactive, producing content for its TechRepublic, ZDNet & CNet brands.

My work has been featured by The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, National Science FoundationSt. Louis Post-DispatchBoston Herald and Yahoo! Sports

I'm a veteran of the documentary and photojournalism graduate program at the Missouri School of Journalism (2014-16). Before that, I was a Knight Foundation visiting professional-in-residence at the school (2013-14).

From 2006-11, I was a reporter at The Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky, where I wrote about bats and balls and shot pictures and video. Later, I joined Yahoo! Sports' Rivals.com product, covering college sports as a photojournalist and video producer (2011-13).

I grew up in the Bluegrass State on baseball cards, Seinfeld and Super Mario Bros. I'm a 2005 graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Journalism. During college I interned as a reporter at The Cincinnati Post, The Paducah Sun and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. I was a student at the Washington Center for Politics and Journalism in 2006 in Washington, D.C. While living in the capital, I had the unique opportunity of interviewing all three major players in the coming 2008 presidential campaign — Barack Obama, John McCain and Hillary Clinton — all before they declared their candidacies when access was freer.

I have staffed the University of Kentucky’s Picture Kentucky workshop, the Missouri Photo Workshop and coached storytelling at Western Kentucky University’s Mountain Workshops.
