UPDATE: This piece won Best Multimedia in the 2010 Pictures of the Year Competition held by the Kentucky News Photographers Association.

Five years ago Robert and Debbie Blair founded the West End School, a small boarding school for boys struggling with academics and discipline. Now he wants to open its doors to more boys in need of direction and education.

~This was shot and produced in April 2010 for courier-journal.com, the Web site for Kentucky's largest newspaper: The Courier-Journal in Louisville. Gear used: Canon’s 5D Mark II and 24-105 f/4L IS.
